The ECC-41 "combat carbine" is directed energy weapon closely related to the EMR-40 designed for law enforcement and other security forces.

The gun is quite heavy, highly resistant against overheating and produces a very light recoil impulse. The compressed particle burst generated by this gun it significantly more energetic than that of the L-34 particle battery fed submachine guns but trades firepower for an increased capacity of 20 shots per battery compared to the EMR-40 marksman rifle. The effective range is lower than that of PB cartridge fed directed energy assault rifles but perfectly adequate for police actions in urban environments. The stopping power is relatively low but penetrative capabilities and especially accuracy are remarkable for a weapon of its size.

The ECC-41 is an expensive weapon system, its main selling points are that it uses AAC developed high quality rechargable and safe pacticle batteries with a very long service life, it's outstanding accuracy and extremely sturdy construction.

The UGL-43 is an extremely lightweight 25x40mm underbarrel grenade launcher designed for the ECC-41 "combat carbine". It interfaces with the electronic trigger system of the host weapon and disconnects the rifle's firing mechanism from the trigger when the attached launcher is set to "fire".
