Name suggestions? Names with meaning preferred.This is a little concept for the lion that manages to displace Jarmara and steal his privilgeged position. Since Jarmara is a pain in the ass for everyone, he's even somewhat justified. This lion acts modest and dutiful most of the time and is eager to prove that a lion's worth is not defined by its color. He's got a strong sense of justice, but also a jealous strain, and both work together tragically well. Last but not least, he's pretty smart.
He mostly looks like a normal (cave) lion, not many special markings - for my story, I took many liberties with what we know about cave lions, giving them at least small manes. His is rather well developed and the mane hair gets darker towards the tips. He's relatively young, only slightly younger than Jarmara.

I LOVE THIS GUY. His design is really simple, but I really like that. I love the subtle spotting going on near his paws, and I love his tiny little mane omg. I want to ruffle it really really badly. He also has such fierce yellow eyes and such a wonderful lion faaaace! Ahh. I wish I was good with names because I REALLY WANT TO NAME HIM.

Sometimes I post additional sketches to my Live Journal, but it's not as if that was a daily or even weekly thing. I always wanted to write it down and draw illustrations to make it less boring, but who knew - writing takes much more preparation than drawing. x.x
Jarmara had an actual life before he was adopted by the sabres. He could have inherited his father's pride that had some interesting rules and specialties of its own, but that guy there tricked him into doing things stupid enough to lose it all.

Martin is a good name, it's a bird.
Erus means "owner" in Latin
and Rego is "steer" in Latin
Miles means "soldier" in Latin
Aemulus means "jealous" in Latin
Askari means "soldier" in Somali
