I've never done something like that with markers. It looks neat. He looks attentive, I like that. If his eyes were blue, he'd look a bit like me.

Very nice wolf. My only suggestion for this would be to try and make your lines a bit more flowing. They seem a bit jagged and rough, however don't think that it's a bad thing. It still compliments the subject and still looks nice. Good work.

It is a nice picture by any means, but by your own high standard I think it's a so-so image. In my humble opinion you've done better pictures in the past.
I think the mouth and the left eye are a bit off, and maybe the nose, too, very slightly. It's still cute, though.

You didn't, not at all. ^_^ I know myself that I did better in the past. I just seem to have some kind of slight art block, just look at the sketchy stuff I've been uploading over the past weeks... gah. This went so far that I even put an excuse on my gallery's title page and my DA journal, hope it will pass soon. More hopefully before SewerRat arrives on Sunday. I'm very looking forward to drawing with you all again.

I'm sure it will pass. The movie on sunday might help, or the visit of The Rat. Or the christmas days, which are also less than a week away.
And if you're fresh out of sketch-o-muses, maybe it's time to try something else, like oil, acrylics, 3D rendering, modelling, woodworks, ... change is good.

Only thing I see a problem with is the muzzle length. Wolves have a longer muzzle and eyes set wider apart. This is almost a husky, while simmilar in apperance, is not a wolf at all. Also, its very uncommon to see a droped mouth corner on a wolf...they usualy dont have enough fat for it.

Yes... I know. ^^ The muzzle length is something I do wrong in most of my pics. I'm used to drawing Arcanines and also afraid making the muzzle too long. It always looks good on the paper, mostly just to the point when everything is inked. *grins* Erm. I mean, this was fully intentional because Rushie's such a cutie. Thank you for the hint with the mouth corners. I always draw them that way just because I don't know better. I'll be trying to put more attention to that. *goes looking for reference pics*

I do it alot myself when I dont use a refferance. I found these awsome books on animal anatomy for canine and reptiles...its been a huge help. I recently purchased one for mamalian avians as well. Otherwise, I would have been clueless about the mouth corners too...
