September leaf for the Savannah calendar. Ascar, Kovu W. and me being retarded and having fun at the edge of the desert.xD Ascar seemed to find it funny to set me up against Kovu in an online game, and it inspired this.

Kovu Wolfszahn belongs to ~KovuWolfszahn

Edit: Fixed the length of Ascar's tail stripe.

A great comic scene! Good work on the foreshortening and overall perspective, and the mischevious grins. The fur texture is very striking also, particularly on the farthest character (who I presume is your character?).

I know one thing I appreciate and I am not sure how many other viewers notice this, but I like how huge you portrayed yourself compared to the other characters. Totally like your original inspirational character for yourself. Lol. I like that. ^^

I like having a big huge fursona. x) It's fun to be able to push the lions around. The downside is unless I'm in the farthest background I tend to ruin group pictures with my presence. o.o"

This is GORGEOUS. I LOVEadore the perspective you created with Ascar's front leg there, and the subtle but delightful fur detail you have is so gorgeous. And TACI IS SO PRETTY. Her ^__^ expression and her GORGEOUS long fluffs and the little rodent are all so pretty. And I LOVE the BG. The mountain behind Taci is really detailed and realistic-looking.

I love all the detail, and each characters pose really brings out their personality. The facial expressions really help to tell a story too. It also shows how they interact with each other, which is another plus because it gives another layer of depth to the over-all piece.
The background is also just as stunning and full of detail as the characters are, and it really helps to tie everything together. You really get the feeling that they are actually there.

The stupid desert background... it took a day alone to paint that. I'd really like to know how the many matte-paintes out there manage a full-blown photo realistic BG in two hours or so. *g* I'm glad you like it!

oh not to worry. I wasn't expecting a reply so no harm done ^_^ Most matte-painters use "cheats" to get work done faster. As in they make simple backdrops for every scene imaginable ahead of time, then they use self-made or bought brushes to create those more detailed looking backgrounds. At least, that's what my high school graphic design teacher told me more than 3 years ago
