Description This turned out really "eh" and is redundant AF. Tried forever to fix the faces, me no good at drawing peoples. Upload and forget I guess!

Cefren and Darius sharing some solemn nightly introspection. Darius because he can’t stand the damn silence in the house at this point, Cefren because any input on what to do is better than none, and also Darius is his boss now, so better not be rude. Up until that sentence, though, everything that the old idiot said made Cefren resent him more. Oh sure, it’s so hard to be rich and lonely! No thought of the people whose lives Darius ruined because they were unable to pay up, or by, you know, enabling an autocratic dictatorship. But when it hits someone he loves, it’s the biggest drama in the world. And he has the nerves to complain to someone who’s been through all that Cefren has been through. Talk about narcissism. Then however, Darius drops this gem. Not entirely by accident though, a person is less likely to stab you in the back when they're sympathetic with you. But this… gets Cefren’s real attention. Maybe it’s true and they have something important in common, maybe there's something to be learned here.

In Darius’ case, he was literally born and bred to be a high society power player and he loves it normally. Now that he's been compromised, the weight of it suddenly feels crushing, like having to stand on an injured leg. He cannot be the last of his line. The eyes of every Vitisaria that ever lived and all of posterity are on him all the time. While others have temporarily been the “only” one before him, it’s now down to him to show what he’s made of. But his time and chances currently feel as if they are running out. He has no allies who wouldn’t turn on him in a heartbeat if the opportunity seems promising, and some very active enemies. Still, lying low or just letting it all go to hell out of spite is not an option. He’s got to keep. On. Fighting.

In Cefren’s case, he knows he has to keep on fighting, too, but is not too sure about the reason yet. Ever since coming back to his senses, he’s been struggling with the questions of self-determination versus dependence on other people. Here he is, doing what others tell him once again. Keep a low profile, don’t take up drinking, don’t take up gambling, don’t go after the person who did this to you, don’t do anything else that would ruin you. It would give a quick fix of that sweet, sweet feeling of making a choice while actually being an easy way to dodge responsibility, possibly dodge life itself. He needs to learn that he owes it to himself to try as hard as he can, but currently it feels a lot as if he only owes it to Clau and Darius. Things are still difficult, but there is progress. He’s disciplined and on a good way, and sometimes having people to lean on is really nice.
