Somewhat TLK somewhat not. Who are these two characters? Why they’re from the world famous movie on the PS1, “Lion and the King,” from Dingo Pictures. How couldn’t you know about it?

Would I ever incorporate these two, and other knock-offs or other very popular lion media characters in my verse? No, never.

Now, what all happens in Lion and the King for those that don’t know? Well, truthfully it’s kind of boring, and odd for an animal movie.

There one was a jungle, where no animal could ever be satisfied. But luckily for them, there was a king lion there that would tell them what to do all the time. Some monkeys find some diamonds, and the animal debate on what to do. After too long of a snake going “bad idea” they animals agree it’s not a good idea to gather more diamonds. Except for a panther. He tries to convince the animals to elect him as king and it works out when they see the new son of the king playing with diamonds. The lions are exiled, and the ZazuRafiki snake follows them. The snake teaches the cub, Robin everything there is to know like multiplication.

after that I kind of stopped processing what was going on, and eventually the second movie came on.

Second movie the panther has been exiled, and the lions are in charge again. They’re still arguing about diamonds for some reason. The panther has a son that I thought was a daughter for a couple minutes called Mew Mew. Mew Mew has a,I presume adoptive mother that is a gorilla. He disappoints his father panther a lot. The lion and panther cub becomes friends for some reason and find the diamonds I think, I don’t know I stopped processing what was happening again.

Their designs i more or less tried to keep as close as how they were in the cartoon, though Robin had the most changes probably. Got a pointed nose cause his nose in the movie was just a line, and a light ear rim that would pop up sporadically, and eye markings from the cover art. Mew Mew has the least amount of changes other then I tried to make his eyes a tad more yellowish-green.

Now they’re ready to go and face the world, look at them.

As for watching this, you can find the movies on YouTube, but I recommend watching a review. Cause the movies are a chore to get through to be honest. I haven’t really touched the other movies made by Dingo Pictures cause man. They’re not great.

Maybe next I’ll draw the kids from Simba the King Lion from Mondo, or the other Mockbluster movie made for TLK (or KtWL it’s hard to tell sometimes).

That’s pretty much it for now, maybe I’ll draw their parents and the RafikiZazu Snake.
