Description
I was kicking myself to draw and decided to try doing Bec Noir. Something about carapace people that made me want to try and put my touch on it. I imagine they were sorta armored or segmented sorta- like some kind of lifesized humanoid chess piece which happened to have a dog head and wings and a katana run through its chest.Bec Noir (c) Homestuck

He could very well fly on those wings. He's been doing a great deal of flying.
Actually, at this point in the story, its hard to tell which is actually flying or just omnipotent teleportation.

I know he does, but...well, technically, I'm missing a joint here. Or I'm blind and just don't see it.

Ah, his elbow joint. Yeah- in retrospect I think I deliberately forgot to draw it to make it stylistically similar to how Hussite normally draws him. >3> Ahwell...he can teleport in the meantime!
