Well honestly I ship them black so a bit of abusiveness is ok IMO as long as they care for each other still. and really? I dont look at to much fan art but I'm honestly surprised. I would think it would be the other way around. I mean when they were first introduced peridot was still a cold calculating bad guy and lapis was (and still is) this precious angel every one in the fandom loved and wanted to rescue for some un known reason.
