Beautifully sculptural image...
May I ask, did you do the long exposure as a deliberate device, or was the light so poor as to require it?

No it was a deliberate device. I don't paricularly like this shot. I was trying to make something out of nothing. With landscape you're so dependent on the lighting conditions and on this particular day I'm there for the sunset but it's raining on and off and the sky is completely overcast and flat so the whole scene was pretty undramatic. I used the long exposure to try and create some sort of atmosphere but it was only marginally successful.
