But the question is "CHICKEN EGG". Which came first, chicken egg or the chicken? And by that logic, chicken came first because it hatched from an egg that was laid by something that was not chicken yet, thus it was not chicken egg. Then the chicken laid the first chicken egg.
If we're asking just any type of egg, then OF COURSE egg came first. But then there would be no riddle.
