Could you give me a few pointers on how you go about this, Tar?
Obviously you've done a lot of figure drawing and worked with perspective a fair bit. But technique-wise is there a difference between how you set up a canvas and start drawing or coloring for a speedpaint versus a full piece/illustration or are the stages the same? How and when is the texture applied to this to combat flatness being apparent in the drawing? Any other tips or maybe links to captures of you streaming?

You'd be right when you say that I have different techniques when im speed painting or illustrating.
When I speedpaint, I have practically no clue what I'm about to draw, so I just draw a few shapes and such strung together, and when I see a figure I like, I begin fleshing out the details and features until it becomes something more defined. Coloring is all layers set to overlay or soft light. At the end I would pick a texture (from my texture folder) and I adjust it to work with the figure.
Illustrating is similar to how I speedpaint, but I need to plan things out first before painting by sketching where things would go. It takes longer, but it works out in the end.
I hope that answers your questions. If you have any more, feel free to ask.
