Awww. Baby sea turtles are incredibly lovable. I helped release freshly hatched turtles at a reservation once, and watching hundreds of the little fellows flounder around on the beach left an indelible impression.

If he put him in the water instead of returning him exactly where he picked it up at facing the direction it was when he picked it up then there is a good chance he just helped ensure that turtle will not produce any offspring.

Yeah. Sea turtles are also endangered, you realize. There are plenty of programs that interfere with sea turtle life style just to ensure they are there for future generations. Go somewhere else to bother people.
