This could've happened between chapters 47 & 48.Ruka's about to leave the Academy, trying to digest the fact that she's finally been rejected by 'Kaname-sama'.
(She's standing in front of his door right here).
Of course, keeping in mind that now he has a pureblood sister & fiancée, it feels impossible to hold any hope for a miracle to come. But, still...
This latest chapter was all from Akatsuki's POV, so I felt the need to do a tribute to Ruka.
After getting to know she offered herself like that when Kaname was about to bite a very young Yuuki, I simply started ADORING her.

okay... can someone shed some light on this? Ruka's always admired kaname since she met him... and when she grew older she loved him. so when kaname was gonna bite yuki she thought "That child isn't going to take Kanane from me!" So instead of doing it for yuki's sake she did it for her own gain? um... that left me with the impression of "whore" but now i like her a lot more, but still can anyone shed light on this for me? I'm confused!

Well, actually no.
You must know for a pure blood, biting a human being (and transforming him/her into a level E vampire afterwards) is a terrible sin. They could get convicted by the Hunter's Asociation if they do. Not to mention that this child was reeeaaally young; It would be terrible.
Ruka didn't know that Yuuki was Kaname's 'sister' at the time. For her, she was like any other ordinary human who was going to become a prey.
So, for a Ruka who is loyal to the bones to Kaname, we could say she did it for many purposes: Saving the child, saving Kaname's destiny, and why not, using the oportunity to get bitten by the person she loved and giving her blood to him, which is an act of complete devotion. (She knew she'd probably never obtain Kaname's blood in return, but neverminding that, she proceeded into doing so).

It's a real problem actually; but Hanaka got used to her unrequited love for Kaname - sama so much time ago.
