I don't like not being in control of the status of my account. Its not something that people should be able to change without my consent really :/
its unstable and irritating, having some features sometimes and then not other times, being moved back and forth between being able to access certain things.
im not going to waste time updating things to take advantage of core when I literally don't even want it, and won't have it 90% of the time.

I do not like having core.
People don't check pages though and use dumb badges to gild comments or artwork, which forcibly changes my account status without my permission.

My simple suggestion is being able to disable outside forces from changing this.
If someone tried to gift core or gild my stuff, it would just say that "This user has disabled gifting" or something.

I've sent this as a feature request already, but so far it hasn't been considered for voting.
