This is reminding too much of our current predicament...
more or less all of our cars are breaking down. tires blowing, batteries dying, you name it!

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. Vehicles are something we rely on so often, and now with the price of everything going through the roof!
I was looking for tires for the Cadillac, I used to be able to get them for $40 ea for the off brand, now the only thing left are truck tires and those start at $90! >X.X<
I was amazed at how cheap Sam's club carries batteries, I got one for my Nissan for only $40! And it was a better battery to boot! (More powerful and a five year warranty!)
This is why I ultimately traded in my Buick and Lincoln. All the power toys started actinf stupid. Specfically the climate controls. When the air blows full hot in the middle of summer, it is time to look for something else... (Stupid automatic stuff wouldn't even turn off!)

Oh new tires... and some rims
reminds me of one time when we picked up some cars down at the docks that was brought in from the states. One needed a new tire.. all the way back to the garage to get one.. fix it. Get it on the car, lower the darn thing... turn oure back for five min.. BLAM. New tire
