Description
Hola Amigos!I wanted to run a quick animation test using some different tools that I haven't familiarized myself with yet. Mainly some puppet tools and other nifty features using After Effects.
I'm not 100% happy with the results as there was some distortion in using the tools, but it certainly made animating the character faster than if I had done it the old fashioned frame by frame way.
Anyway, let me know if you enjoyed it!

Oh, that's amazing work! If only there were some more growth. Mmmm....

One thing you can work on is getting the biceps to move up and down when she flexes. Other than that, a great, yet short, animation test.

Well normally in my animations I do make the biceps move up and down. This particular piece was a test of bringing motion to essentially a still frame. I didn't make any different poses or draw anything that was shown in the video, it was really more of a test to see how well it would move.
In my normal regular animations, details like flowing hair, pumping muscles, striations during certain movements are always drawn in detail.
But thank you regardless!

Why am I reminded of the the animation style from the Thief games? Well, the first two - before Looking Glass died a death.
Awesome anyway, as I love that animation.

Wow that's a huge compliment! The Thief games were AWESOME! I don't remember too much about the artwork because I only got the chance to play the demos, but thank you for the high praise!

Why remember when you can see anew?

Ah, there we go. I was wondering why I couldn't see the animated one here. I d/l it from your group. Nice! Nice, fluid motions. But how dare you tease with such a dark silhouette! You know I need details, to see every bump, crevice, & swell of muscle growth glory! Well done TC, glad to see new stuff from you.

Ha ha, well this time I must be honest, I was not trying to tease. I did the black silhoutte so it would be easier for me to animate. If I drew out all the details like I love to do, I'm not sure the tool I used would have sold you on the effect.
I'm hoping to use this technique only for movement like walking, waving, things like that. FMG is always going to be a hand drawn process.

Short, sweet, HOT. I think this use of the animation might work best in a darker silhouette like you used for this test. It'd be interesting to see how it works with a fully lit figure so you could see details and such. Pretty sweet back cracking and growth effect!

Thanks! I noticed the .SWF version of this clip isn't working, I'm trying to see if I can resolve that so it can loop here on DA.

Glad to see it working now. Can't wait to see you try this with a fully drawn figure
