I can't agree with that. It's not because you are in "gaming" that you have to make something blinding

while true, simple does tend to go better as a corporate solution rather than for games etc ... it also depends on the name of the clan as well .. if the name is directed with energy and detail, the layout must do likewise, if it's simple and and normal name, than the layout like that will be cool. Anyways my opinion is my own, I force it on noone
