LOL I wont say much about it right now... Except this is one of my favorite characters...It makes me kinda sad as the events that occur to the character...but this is one of the Happier moments in the story that i couldnt resist..it was described midway through the book...

oh... well the books are acually really really good... the movies are just as fun to watch...but never as good as the book.
If its the witch craft aspect you are worried about or the dark arts that most at first try to associate harry potter with...you are safe.. its nothing like that... its more like a Sabrina the Teenage witch..LOL
If not..well.. they are pretty cool anyways and i hope that someday you can check them out!!

I like other books such as ones written by LJ Smith, RL Stine and Christopher Pike.
Sabrina was a fun movie.
It also could have been the time in my life and I just watched the movie at the wrong point in my life.

I watched it so many time in one year I basically had it memorized.
I watched it in 8th grade (1996-1997) and have not watched it since although I did not get rid of the movie until the middle of high school.

oh wow... yeah i went into that phase too...thats why i figured you had seen the craft. It was about the same time frame too! although i think you might be a year or two older then me. reguardless i know how you feel...maybe not to the same extent because it seems to have hit you a lot harder..but i do have a comprehension which i guess is better then none!!
I assure you..harry potter is nothing like the craft. infact its more of a...Disney like movie. I ronically my mom wouldnt let me or my younger siblings read or see anything potter because she thought it was like the craft and heard that harry potter was all like "F*** God, F*** this...I am a Wizard!" (although, we are not a very church going family..havent been since i was like 5, it was still enough to set my mom off...silly 700 club and bad news casting...) LOL
I think that, as i said before...when you are ready, you should give potter a try. I think that you will indeed like it. the amount of witch craft and wizardry is more like...well...believing in fairies and peter pan and POTC. its subtle and wont traumatize you like the craft.

It is strange that the movie affected me the way it did becuase I watch other stuff like that and it has never effected me.
I watch the Halloweentown movies every year and I also like Practical Magic and Hocus Pocus (Sarah Jessica Parker cracks me up).
I probably will not read the books as they are way too thick for me. lol
The more I talk to you about it the more I think I had the wrong impression about the movies.
I just did not want to go down that path again becuase the way I was back then is one of the few things that acutally scare me.
I think I have grown alot since then and I believe I am more stronger and stable than I was then.

I LOVE Halloweentown!!
In a way...Hogwarts is like Halloweetown High! Minus the goblins and trolls as students.. LOL. But they do have a werewolf professor in the 3rd movie. But the whole wizard and witch concept is very equavalent to Holloweentown. Hogsmead (the visiting town near hogwarts campus) is kinda reminsent to the halloweentown itself!! LOL.
i mean there are villians..but they are the usual power hungry grr villians. But they do make themovies so that 5year olds can watch them without nightmares. and they are more mythical.
The whole bases of the movies with out giving anything away...One bad wizard is using means to return to get back at the good wizard who prevented him from sheer domination. With use of mythical creatures, monters, and dark magic...(but not like the craft..where as in the craft..there is a real possiblity that something like that could happen...i have seen things and i am sure as you...However Potter is nmore..story book fairytale as stated before!!)
Anyways.. enough rambling!! LOL you'll see it when you want to! And when you do i am sure you will enjoy it!!
