Description
Please DO NOT Steal Nor Use This Image. Also Yue is a boy, not a girl. He's just feminine being both his mother and father are known to be very beautiful and in Japanese culture, it's popular for a man to be beautiful or very feminine.Decided to change up somethings. If you haven't read my stories or seen my drawings of my Ever After High character, you know Yue was at Monster High before coming to Ever After High, like Cupid. And shoot, I might have him return there since I have many Ever After High characters but only like one Monster High character (Hinto Bataway).
One of the things I decided to change is Yue's father, from the regular Man in the Moon to the Japanese version. I figured it makes more sense for Kaguya Hime to merry that version and not the version everyone knows from the typical fairytales. Story goes, Katsuka Otoko was an describable beautiful man (though the pictures do a very poor depiction then....) that would appear on the face of the moon. Whenever he beckoned them, the moon gazer would stare at the moon for so long as Katsuka drained them from their life energy, until the gazer would drop dead on the spot!
So techically, Yue is part vampire ghost (just life energy instead of blood). I did this since it makes sense to why Yue would be at Monster High and then like his mother, would get scared of him disappearing or herself, if he doesn't choose her destiny and go to EAH. Her fears win over between both parents and he is forced to go to EAH instead, but may return to MH if Yue can convinced his mom to return, as he doesn't feel like he truly belongs there at times. He sometimes goes back for a visit his friends in the MH universe.
So does this mean no more EAH Yue? No. I just decided to make him a part of both since I've only had Hinto for my MH and I have no intention in making more MH ocs in the near future. It's just easier I guess to make fairytale characters I guess. Honestly, it's because what hasn't been done before in MH in terms of fandom characters?
About his design, the collar in the back isn't flying up just because he's floating. It's actually a moon shape collar that sticks up like a royal cape/cloak. I wanted him to have a similar design to Kiyomi's without it being a copy of course. I figured, if Kiyomi did go to Monster High, he'd be real close friends with her. Might even know each other being from the same country or culture at least.
Character belongs to me.

Cool! Yue is both a EAH and MH character since his mother is Princess Kaguya. So I will draw him both as a Monster High student and an Ever After High student. Here's his EAH sheet too if you want to see.

Sakura wouldn't really fit in EAH due to the fact that she is technically a demon depending on the myth

Yeah. EAH is kinda limited like that.

Yue is a bit feminine because of his heritage. His mother is Princess Kaguya after all and then you have his father being a beautiful moon spirit pretty much.
Here's his EAH design (the profile needs to be tweaked since it's been a year since I created his EAH profile) techounopenki.deviantart.com/a…

It's explainable. And good, because I was always more into pretty boys <3
Although EAH and MH styles aren't hard to draw, you should try them ^^

I don't try them because I don't like how the males look. They always look too broad and bulky to me. Besides, I like the style I draw. I tried others in the past but I'm not big on other styles. Winx style maybe, but I draw mostly boys and most styles draw males, again, way too broad and bulky (not to mention boring) or if they're not bulky, they just look weird.
I dunno, most other styles tend to draw the main male characters with this "perfect body shape" and the males that don't have this shape, are either old, too thin or fat and even those body shapes in their styles don't look good unless I'm drawing characters of that character type.
I especially have an issue with the shape of the males face and the way they do the eyes on such a face. This is in both EAH and MH as well as Disney. That tiny eye look on a "prince like face"....May work for characters like Clawd Wolf and Heath Burns. Maybe my character Cosko or Rikard or even Joey, but not so much my other males.
Anime style, I can draw any body shape and it would look nicer, being I like drawing average to feminine shapes in guys most of the time. I do have a broader male characters that are in that are obviously more masculine in looks but that's very few and far between and again, prefer doing them in anime style.
Anime style, just sorta helps me bring out the character's personality within their looks too. So you get a feel of what my character are like just by looking at them.

You can always do EAH style and alter them to look slender? I always alter male bases with winx, because all males at winx are bulky and ghave square faces, which I hate, so I edit it.
You can just alter the base, it's nothing hard. Or, if you don't know how, you can always ask me, but I usually don't work with pixels. And smaller eyes are more realistic.
You can really bring up character's personality withing they looks by using EAH or MH style. If I went with your logic, I wouldn't be able to draw in winx style, which I do all the time, and it works.

Again, I don't desire to. Look, you draw in different styles and that's cool, that's good you can do that, but some people like to just stick with mainly one style and I'm just one of those people. Most of my friends that I watch are the same way. They'll occasionally do another style but for the most part, they stay their own style or a certain style. I don't like doing other styles that much. Period. What you think is best for you isn't always what's best for others.
It's not that I'm not trying to grow as an artist or don't like trying new things. I've been an artist for over 10 years now and tried other styles in the past. Those styles are just not me. So please, I know you're trying to help and I can take suggestions, but I don't like feeling pushed into doing something, I don't desire to do. We all have our own way of doing things and there's nothing wrong with giving advice, but there's also a time to agree to disagree and let us do what's best for ourselves.

It's good to have style to stick to, but it's good to try something new sometimes, too. What if it actually works?
Well then, okay. If you'd like to try something though, feel free to ask for help ^^

Oh, I know it's good to try new things sometimes and as I said I have. That's how I knew that I prefer anime style than most other styles. I'm just more comfortable sticking with one thing. I do change occasionally to do like Lion King or Winx but that's just once in a while.
Sorry I got a bit defensive. I've always been that way when it comes to people trying to push me out of what I'm use to. I think it's part of my autism or it could just be how I just am. I dunno. Call it my "Freaky Flaw", I guess. I try not to get snippy because I know people are just trying to help. That's why always like saying "Let's agree to disagree", because as much as I like a good debate, better to end it on a friendly note than a bad one.

I do mostly winx because I'm stuck in this fandom and I hate that.
I know the feeling, I tend to go agressive if something like that happens ._.
