Add them as "Custom Pictures" to the Cover Panel (see chapter 2.5.2).
Then you can "Auto cycle" between them too (wasn't there in previous versions

Maybe it wasn't but I remember I could cycle between all 5 artist pictures plus front, back and disc and I think I preferred it that way without extra clicks to uncover only artist pics in Cover Panel.

No, sorry. Auto cycling is first introduced with DarkOne v2.1. Wasn't there before.
Maybe you used a "third-party" script?
The old panel was made in a PSS (v1.5.2 i guess was the latest). You could switch with buttons between ALBUM ART, ARTIST PICTURES and CUSTOM PICTURES. But cycling wasn't possible...

By cycling I mean clicking on the pic to change to the next and next and artist1 and artist2 etc. If it is what you meant then please please can I ask you for such feature or work around to achieve that?
It changed actually after I upgraded to f2k v1.1.1 from v1.1 guess it was only a glitch, but I liked it.

With the actual cover panel you'd need to switch to custom pictures once the album art is clicked through.
Btw. if you have clicked through all album art, a middle click switches to the custom pictures
If you clicked them through you can again middle-click to switch back to the album art.

I had it done the way you say in chapter 2.5.2 already but was hoping for smooth browsing through all pictures without going to Custom Pictures then look through them then go back to Album Art. U see what I mean extra not needed hassle.

Manually is possible with the method i described above (left mouse click through all album art, middle mouse click to switch to custom pictures).
Automatically isn't possible at the moment. But if all album art is already auto cycled, do a middle mouse click and now the custom pictures will be auto cycled.

1) How to readd lyrics2 is described in the user guide, chapter 2.12.2 (how to fit the colours see chapter 3)
2) It is possible by creating autoplaylists (btw. it's not DarkOne but foobar2000 related
2.1) you need to add your music to your media library (MENU button --> File --> Preferences --> Media Library --> Add... --> Select your music's folder)
2.2) Now select MENU button --> Library --> Search and type to the search bar: %play_count% MISSING
Now hit the "..." button right hand of the search window and select "Create autoplaylist"
2.3) Now type to the search bar: NOT %last_played% DURING LAST 4 WEEKS SORT DESCENDING BY %last_played% and hit the "..." button to create an autoplaylist
You'll have two new playlists that will automatically change its content to fit the search string
But you should know: the successor v2.2 (or maybe i call it v3.0, because it has more changes than i first intended) will be released soon. I only wait for an update of a component.

You're using XP, i guess?
Right-click in the playlist --> Settings --> Script/Popop(Track) tab.
Change all $drawtextex to $drawstring and the "squares" should be gone
The "NO ARTIST" info is shown, when there's no artist image found (path as specified in Preferences --> Display/Artist tab).
If you don't use artist images at all, but want to display the cover instead, then do the following:
Right-click in the playlist --> Settings --> Field definition tab.
Double-click on the entry POPUP.ART and change its value to front.
I'll think about a love button, but not for the next release v2.2, sorry.
Maybe in a later release, okay?

First of all, I love the skin, thanks for it. Second though, I too would love to eventually see more last.fm integration. Specifically I'd like to see softplaylist (seen here [link] ) ingegration which would allow me to create last.fm generated playlists. There is also some interesting work seen here [link] where the script matches foobar's playback statistics with last.fm's.
I've played around with softplaylist and I can get it to work with DarkOne but I don't want to use the script I mentioned because it utilizes a different database plugin. I don't want to be keeping multiple playback statistics and it looks to still be under heavy development. It's not a must have feature so I'm content to just mention it and hope you eventually do something similar

I installed foo_softplaylist now, but i don't understand what is needed to be integrated in DarkOne...
It works without any adaption.

As i said before: not for the enxt release.
There's some other stuff on my todo list:
- EsPlaylist
- Waveform Seekbar
- maybe a compact/mini mode again
But this will all not happen in the next release, because i haven't found the time to create the new installer...
I will probably stay on 7zip for the next release and maybe add all of this in the v2.3 (or v3.0).
I know the script you linked to, but i want to create my own or probably ask marc2003 to update it for the use with the new database (i haven't any clue about the last.fm features. I only added foo_lastfm_radio.dll after a request. Never use it myself...).

Oh I know softplaylist works fine, I just mentioned that it might be a nice addition to the included components if you decide to include more last.fm features. I don't really use the last.fm radio either, for me last.fm is for tracking what I listen to and building myself related playlists through softplaylist.
The only things I want is that script and a love/unlove button. I would like my playback statistics on my laptop and desktop to match last.fm's stats. But as I said, neither feature is a must have for me.

I must confess, i don't know what this love/unlove button does...
Does it add a tag to the file (metadata) or is it a "message" to last.fm (via internet)?
The latter can't be done within DarkOne, because it would need to disable "Safe mode" in WSH Panel mod (something i tried to avoid to keep DarkOne safe) or to add foo_run and some commands (this would force me to share the configuration file of foo_run and overwrite existing ones. Would delete all previous settings the user made in foo_run before installing DarkOne. Not really familiar...).
I think its better to wait for a new release of marc2003's scripts on hydrogenaudio
The functions foo_softplaylist provides can still be reached through context menu/main menu.
Maybe i add some buttons for the context menu entries. But v2.2 is still finished (includes Waveform seekbar and EsPlaylist as kind of "graphical browser"). I only wait for the next final WSH Panel mod release to publish v2.2.

I absolutely love your skin, its the only one I have ever used and will ever use. It shows everything I want without feeling to cluttered. However, I just updated to the new foobar2000 v1.1.1 and the new playback statistics but the rating isn't working as before. I either change the rating within the playlist using the right mouse button and change rating in playback statictics menu but then it doesn't show in the now playing window. Or the other way around: I change the rating in the now playing window but it doesn't show in the playlist. I guess it has something to do with the new way of storing ratings but I would like to just have them in my tags. Can this be changed in the skin? I could you point me to the place were I can change things myself?

Yes, its true. That's the resson i'm working on v2.2.
But there is a scripts to fit v2.1 more to foobar2000 v1.1.+ and the latest Playback Statistics Component: [link]
More difficult for the ELPlaylist...
I have a script, but it points all images to the new DarkOne directory (in the user-profile path) and works with the latest ELPlaylist only: [link]
You need to download it, change its extension to elp, import it in your ELPlaylist (right-click --> Settings --> Import) and search the script manually for all entries %el_user_profile_path% and replace them with %el_foobar2000_path% to work with DarkOne v2.1. (these entries can be found on the Script/PerTrack, Script/Per Second and on the Filed definition tab).
Then it should work
But you should know: Behaviour has slightly changed (there's an additional rating display mode in ELPlaylist. To display ratings in tags enable RATE.METADATA with the value 1 on the field definition tab, otherwise only ratings in database will be shown).

I'm trying foo_uie_lyrics2 and found it very effective (easy to use, easy to install, automatically find lyrics, find lyrics a lot more ...)
People complained that it was the crash but I have not been used to do it and its author back to developing fewer defects

I replaced foo_uie_lyrics(2) with foo_lyricsgrabber since i often got crashes with foo_uie_lyrics(2)...
Maybe i should test it again (haven't done it with the latest version). But its developement is frozen, too...
I told the author of foo_lyricsgrabber2 about the crash and he will take a look at it as long as he finds the time to do so (he's very busy at the moment).
So release of DarkOne v2.2 will last some more time i fear...
(I will release it as stable as possible of course)

-When i search lyric for a mp3 file without tags. foobar is crash!!!!
(right click on mp3 file -> Lyrics Grabber -> search all)
-on panel display disc cover (front,back,disc, artist..) When i choose auto cycle image. How does it display all images in folder? (image name files is random, not front.jpg or back.jpg....)

Have tried it and foobar2000 does crash. It's a limitation of the lyrics_grabber component. I will tell its author about.
About cycling images:
I haven't implemented a "random" mode. You can only cycle between the images that are recognized by the in-built foobar2000 artreader or the images you've set up as "Custom images".

I want to wait for the final of WSH Panel mod (to not need to update the component package shortly aftre DarkOne release...
And there is a new component called foo_dynfil that looks promising for my auto rating algorithm. But it is in an early beta stage and i want to wait to its final release (if it is useful). I need some testings...
And finally: i still haven't found time to "create" my new installer...
So it will still last some time.
But with the two scripts i provided some posts before DarkOne v2.1 will work well with foobar2000 1.1.+ and the latest components (van be updated within foobar2000 when they are stored in the user profile path).

Tedgo, I Simply LOVE this theme for Foobar, So much infact I have introduced and gotten many people hooked on this. The Theme matched with Foobar's music playing abilities makes life so much better with people that have very large libraries. ( Pending if people made the effort to organize their collections
I only have Two questions/suggestions.
Is there a way that a person.. or you for that matter could add a Averaged Rating for a selected Album on the Title Bar on the middle panel? ( The part that has a whole whack of info on that album choice including genre, year, media type gain ) Or even on the Album List Panel some how... I just think the rating system is pretty cool, and would like to see it implemented a little more in depth.
Other one, I just seen a theme with the "foo_wave_seekbar.dll" thats pretty Wild... Maybe add that somewhere?
Other than That, I feel it's the best theme out there, which would be why I've been using it since 1.5.2

The rating system used in DarkOne is based on the simple foo_playcount.
It doesn't offers an average album rating. The only i know of is foo_playcount_sql, but to my knowledge it isn't updated for a long time...
Maybe foo_customdb has something similar...
If you know a config that used an average rating, please let me know. Then i could think of implementing it - or at least tell you how to do

I know this plugin and had planned to implement it. But where?
It doesn't supports "pseudo-transparency" so i can't place it at the middle top of the config (as second "visualization"), because it wouldn't fit to the gradient background at the top.
In the display it would be too small. So, where?

Tedgo, I did a little searching, and found something called " foo_playlist_tree " that from what I can tell, add's the ability to give averages to albums.. ( or, at least "Allows you to find the average value over the files in a node." as taken from: [link] )
Not sure how much that helps, and considering I have no idea how this coding stuff fully works, all I can say is I do understand it enough to get a general sense of the jargon talk....
The Wave Seekbar, Maybe replace the Channel Meter under the standard seek bar in the middle of the left hand side? I'm not sure how this would work, again since I have no idea about the coding aspect of this stuff, but maybe you could have it under that Title Bar with some kind of transparency on the title bar to have it sitting on top of the seek bar, have it a faint subtle feature that would be there, but wouldn't really be a Main thing, just something to look at while staring at the screen
Just thoughts and Idea's, it's no way asking you to change your theme

Waveform Seekbar would make sense if it would replace the seekbar on the left (since it is a seekbar and no-one needs two of them
I'll see what i can do, but not for the next release v2.2 (or maybe? I don't know, its a matter of time...).
The variables given by foo_playlist_tree are only usable in foo_playlist_tree (or it violates the foobar2000 sdk). So i can't use them for the playlist views or anywhere else...
So it could replace the playlist switcher but this wouldn't really make much sense for the whole config

well, I have added the heart icon on the right of the rating:
1. preferences -> Columns UI -> Layout -> second Panel Stack Splitter -> insert panel -> panels -> WSH Panel Mod
2. click on second Panel Stack Splitter -> configure -> rename the WHS... to something like Last.fm Love, check Forced Layout
left: $sub(%ps_width%, 40)

Since i first found it I use the DarkOne-skin. I love the work, tnx.
Tried out 2.1 but have reverted to 1.6 because i miss the "show/hide toolbar"-button.
Did not notice this at first and hid the toolbar with the menu and could not get it back.
Might it be possible to make to make three buttons on the next release? Toolbar, statuspane /-bar. Or is there a shortcut to bring back the toolbar after it has been hidden?
Anyway, I do not want any other skin on my foobar.

Of course you could set a shortcut (MENU File --> Preferences --> Keyboard shortcuts).
I won't re-add the toolbar button, because it is rarely in use and already available with MENU button --> View --> Show toolbars. Sorry
A third button wouldn't fit to the space i left for the buttons...
You could make one of the both statusbar/-pane button to switch the toolbar, though:
Right-click on one of the buttons --> Configure --> go to line 15 or 16 --> Change its last entry in that line to fb.RunMainMenuCommand("Show toolbars").
Maybe you want to change its description, too:
Scroll to line 28 and change the description as desired (for instance: Change "PANE" to "TOOLBARS", delete row 29, change "BAR" to "STATUSBAR").

I have two suggestions.
The major one:
Is it possible to make the image in the semi-transparent background to be "live/downloaded online" ? I mean to make an option the pictures from the biography/cover panel to be used as a background in the (EL)Playlist and to switch automatically . I think that will be a great visual enhancement ...
The minor one:
There's my little customization of your skin: [link] , and a link to the portable version of the same - [link] . I've made a simpler playlist (not album-managed, with a global counting of songs), and embeded the foo_queuecontents queue manager in the right panel, which (in my opinion) is very depreciated question in foobar2000. Added bitrate column and time elapsed (or time reamaining, no sense). May be it's possible to make such an simpler version of the skin with queue. Not every man likes such ALBUM-like style hegemony.

The ELplaylist, the background image is behind of, can't update immediately, only on track change.
So suggestion 1 wil not work properly...
But of course you can download artist images with biography view panel (you need to enable this function in the preferences).
For the second suggestion:
Its easy to fit the playlist views to the users needs by the user himself, so i don't think i need to change something
And i can't "implement" all user specific needs to the playlist...
Everyone has another ideas to work with, so i guess its better to let the end-user change columns/time display aso.
Btw. disabling the grouping is very easy: just disable it on the columns ui/grouping tab in the preferences.

Ok, no problem. Then, will it be very difficult to implement an option of live, but static, background image, that loads on song running ? Let's say - the first or random image of Bio/Cover (no matter for me). I don't realy need changing images, one (in the beginning of the song)is just fine. Of course, if it's possible.
The way with downloading images from BIO is not very reasonable for me, because I have a thousands of songs (just some of them are grouped). Well - the skin is just awesome, but that it will be a cool feature, that don't require special user care (most of the users are lazy, and most have lots of songs ... and so on ...) .

I don't undderstand what you want to achieve...
You only need to set the path as described in the user guide for the background image. Of course you need to fit the path to your naming scheme.
Let's say your pictures loaded from biography panel are named like the artist (for instance: David Bowie_01.jpg) and the pictures are stored in the same folder than the music files, so you only need to use $directory_path(%path%)\%artist%*.* to get what you want.
The background image will always be refreshed on track change.

Ok, that works in some way - I've changed the Bio images saving path and the background became "live", but now I have to start the song twice to update the pictures for new artists ... If you have a wish/time, make this as a complete solution (change the background of ELPlaylist when Bio image is downloaded, not at the beginning of the song, if "Live background" is activated).
And some other issue - the background is not working when not using grouping mode (I want to use just a list view of songs). Is it my fault, something I am doing wrong, or is the way the things are meant to be ?
And may think about a transparent mode for the player ? Something like Glass skin to meet the new Vista/7 fashion. .
