Description ..his next digitations Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli and Itztlacoliuhqui

No, I mean of course the next gods he turns/changes into, while - most interestingly - still remaining an existing god in the Aztec pantheon. I think what's really amazing (but complicating things for me) is that the Aztecs still believed in all these gods existing simultaneously despite them dying to become another god... I guess the myths for those other god's origins are not exclusively to do with Quetz, there were probably other stories where Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli (the fiery fellow) isn't Quetz reemerging from Mictlan with a vengenance after being burned alive because Tez embaressed him. I guess that's a story believed by those who associated Quetz with a legendary Toltec priest going by his name.

Anyway, apparently he spent 4 days in Mictlan after burning to forge arrows before emerging as the Morning Star. Imagine, it's like Quetzalcoatl thought "ugh, why the f*** did I burn myself?! just you wait, no more Mister Nice God, I need f***ing weapons, the next guy who upsets me gets an arrow in his face!" and starts forging arrows?? I think it's funny as hell xDΒ As you can see, he's a fierce fellow. Although, trying to shoot the sun and getting your own arrow in the head for it... I don't know, maybe a bit too fierce for his own good, eh.
After that he wasn't fierce any longer, he kind of died again and became cold, he became the god of frost and winter, Itztlacoliuhqui, who actually has a f***ing arrow stuck in his forehead. I love Aztec mythology.

I drew these for my patreon users in December 2016, but thought I could share them now. They will not appear bodily in BTOM, but I wanted to have their concepts laid out for me to come back to for whatever reason. Their depictions are inspired by codex paintings found on their respective wiki pages.

I like it ^^ and as a mexican I think is a very good interpretation... yet the only mistake I see is that as the rest of the world you say "aztec" we were not Aztecs we were Mexica and some people think we are aztecs because of the Aztlan myth. ... Or probably we rather prefer to be called Mexicas xD
your work is very good and I practically loved it! If you need some Nahuatl (aztec language) phrases you have a clumsy translator here willing to help you. I'm not like a very skilled Nahuatl speaker but we can try ^^
