Description
Err... Happy belated Valentines Day, Ginger. ^^'I know, it's a romantic gift, right? Meet Francis, 's character in a long-running World of Darkness campaign. For those of you not familiar with WoD, it's a tabletop gaming system much like D&D, only the subject matter revolves around supernatural beings in a much more modern setting. There is also a much heavier emphasis based on proper roleplaying, and it can be a very social game.
Francis(and my own character Lucy, the redhead in the corner) is what is called a Sin-Eater. What is that? Well, when a regular human with a bare touch of the supernatural about them meets an untimely end, sometimes their spirit will be approached by a Geist. A Geist is somewhat like a ghost, in that they were once a living person. But that was long, long ago, and the longer a Geist is dead, the more monstrous and powerful they become. They offer this power with the human, who can become Bound to the Geist, body and soul, allowing them both to have a second chance at life through that one body. From then on, they live as one, the Sin-Eater allowing the Geist to share their life and indulges in their desires, and the Geist enhancing the Sin-Eater's ghost-sense into a wide variety of subtle powers that they can use as they please.
...And that was the SHORT explanation. There's a whole freaking source book if you want the details. XD
Damn, but I miss this campaign. My character dropped through a dimensional gap/convenient plot hole shortly before I graduated, and the rest of the group is still soldiering on without me. I have high hopes of returning at some point for a guest spot, though. I'm sure Francis would be happy to see Lucy again, even if he'd never admit it.
As usual, I love comments! They are useful and interesting. ^^

The russian was a translation of a bad Soviet Russia joke I plugged into a translator. More than likely, it's gibberish. >>
Yours is officially next. ^^' I still have the note you sent me waaaaay back with some basic info, but is there anything you want to add, bring it on. I did do a sketch of her a while back that I never uploaded, but I think I'll do that tonight and post it to my scraps.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
In Soviet Russia,
Poem writes you!
Sorry, just had to get that out of my system.

Also, Kaye seems to be wondering where her character bio/picture is.

Apparently she thought she asked for a full color photo. She is very disappointed in you.

She did; the sketch was for my benefit to HELP give her a final product. And I got horrifically distracted after that. It's the next project on my plate now, and I already feel terrible, thank you.

WoD sounds like an interesting concept. I like all that urban fantasy/mythology/20MinutesIntoTheFutureSciFi stuff.

Then you should try leafing through the source material. There's quite a bit of it; a full book for each sub-type of character.
There's Sin-Eaters(me and Ginger), Werewolves(we've got two of them, too), Changelings(one very messed up character in our party), and Vampires(again, we have a token) in our game. There's one Hunter(actually human-human!) that's sort of half a member of the group thanks to attendance issues, and the GM plays a Mage(easily the most complex and subtle class) for purposes of plot now. The only class not represented with us are the Prometheans, which any other living creature instinctively avoids/hates anyway because they're unnatural affronts to nature.
