I know, why a chicken? Because just yes. We no stand users could not see what Jib really looked like, that´s why.
UPDATE-
The stand name was changed to Boyd after a clever, and awesome sugegstion from my pal . If you wish to know why the name Boyd, please check the comments. Thanks again SPM!

DMB I've got a good name for Ed's stand. Boyd! It's a reference from the name Paul Boyd who created the intro sequence for the ed edd n eddy opening. And the name boyd is a reference to the word bird which is what a chicken basically is. A type of bird. Of another name you could use, Caird.
It is a reference to Patric Caird who was the Theme music composer to the ed series. And caird is somewhat of an anagram for cardinal, another type of bird which also references the bird theme to ed's stand.

Yup! A lot of the stardust crusader stands in jojo part 3 are based on taro cards. Hence the names star platinum, purple hermit, magician's red, hierophant green(I think) and silver chariot and iggy's stand which is named after the fool.
In jojo parts 4 and 5 the stands are named after rock bands and musician song titles.
