Meet Buyan, the Volchakov`s SACROS dog.
This lad belongs to the species of geneticly modified dogs, which were in process of development in late USSR during Cold War. The project was never completed. Therefore SACROS dogs posses quite a big arrrey of different traits, however later generations have common distinctive features:
Original SACROS dogs strongly recemble eastern-european shepherds.
They have big pointy ears with tufts, eyes with slit-like pupils, that are very similar to those of domestic cats, big paws with long fingers with better than average canine grasping abilities (closer to those of bloodhounds). Fingers connected with webbing, that allows them to swim well and to move through the snow more efficiently.
But the most chilling traits are not confirmed and are suggested by those, who were lucky enough to survive the encounter with one of these feral creatures.
Some claims that dogs, that they saw in the forests were no smaller than a deer or even a horse, others say that dogs were of a normal size of a massive wolf or big shepherd. But all, who encountered them points to them being extremely smart, almost sentien and yet agressive towards people.

This is just a little sneakpeek on these creatures. They are part of the Beringia-Reserve and will play a somewhat antagonist role
