Death and the Pool of Souls: Graphite, Watercolor, Gouache, Illustration Board, 15" x 20"

I needed to add some depth to this piece. So I painted it with a wash of Sepia watercolor.

Now, this is the part where I start explaining the piece a bit.

The time on the clock is 12:19. This is NOT a time but the date that my father passed away on. Exactly 10 years later I was rushed to the E.R. with a life or death situation on the same date.

Nothing gives you a greater appreciation for life than a slight meeting with death.
