This is really pretty! I agree with some of the previous commenters, the knees should be higher up, and in my opinion the face is a bit off (right eye a bit bigger I think) but the colours and the softness of the piece is really beautiful.

Indeed, less is often more and sometimes inspiration comes when you least expect it.
I'm doing a small painting based on a piece of scrap wood not even 1 foot square, it's based on a sad but essential documentary I've seen lately, see link [link]
Very much a "now" London story. Or anywhere.......

I like the idea of doing art on scraps of wood and found objects! I used to do that all the time. I waled past the dumpster by a college and would grab large pieces of cardboard and paint or do oil pastel on them....its saves money on supplies...lol
