i do like this picture the only complaint is the blurring of the back ground seems strange like its not quite blurred enough right around the truck. i believe you did it in a photo program because so parts of the same tree are blurry and others aren't like the section between the left mirror and the truck the trees aren't as blurry

Thanks. I actually blurred the background in post-processing to give it that effect.

This is a great shot. I like the blurring of the trees behind the truck..it gives almost a surreal effect. How did you do that? Did you blur the top frame and focus the second...It looks like a very complicated piece of work...but it's really effective

Thanks. The blur effect was one of the last things I did to the image. I just used the polygonal lasso tool in PS to select the background area, and then took the blur tool to it.
Also, thanks for the !

Fantastic effects T - love the complete contrast between the blurred soft background and pin sharp bright truck. That's not just down to DoF is it?

Thanks. And no, the blur isn't from the camera. The technique I used to keep the sky dark and the foreground bright resulted in a strange looking offset effect in some of the trees, so I decided to cover it up by mimicking a shallow DoF with the blur tool in PS.

I like the whole atmosphere of the picture... The background and foreground together makes it seem really lonely.

Thanks! But I think this is more proof of the power of Photoshop than anything else. If you saw the original image, you might change your statement.
