Some of the major cultural groups on mercury. Mercury is the least populated of the planets in the solar systems. Mercury was ravaged by mining during the construction of the Sol Dyson sphere, it's populace is thus used to a lifestyle of nomadic survivalists.

Deep Core Monks:

Robotic monks that tend to ancient religious texts. The data centre monasteries are built into abandoned mineshafts.

Mehrani:

The largest ethno-lingustic group on mercury. Mehranis are partial cyborgs and androids that live in the ancient moving cities of the surface.

Mtekk:

A race of nomadic tribal robots that have a constant migratory cycle of avoiding the oppressive heat of the sun. Mtekk range in size and some are as tall as 50 meters.

Araii'Kursan:

The descendants of martian immigrants that formed their own culture on mercury. The Araii still have many martian cultural values distinct from the other mercurians. The Araii live in underground cities in the cavernous scars of ancient mining operations.

Miners:

The sentient descendants of self replicating nanobot assemblers. The Miners were uplifted because of their religious importance in the robot creation myth. The miners spend the day as metalic trees, sleeping and absorbing solar power, at night they "liquefy" into piles of grey sand and wake up from their hibernation. The miners spend the night building large monuments and sculptures before disassembling them before sunrise.
