Description
One of my fondest Zelda memories is when my mom pulled me out of school the day Ocarina of Time was originally released just so I could spend the afternoon playing it. I even wore the pre-order t-shirt as I made my way through the Kokiri Forest for the first time.
Good times.
This is a print that made its debut at Anime Weekend Atlanta 2011. The reaction was much more positive than I expected.
It's one of those works that I wasn't sure how things would turn out the whole time I worked on it. I actually spent time on two other versions of the print before settling on this one:

Amazing. Thanks to this amazing picture i love ocarina of time even more. Amazing. So colorful yet dark. This picture makes it worthwhile to go play the game again and struggle your way through the Water temple. Links shield symbolizes the urgency and danger of this fight. I am proud to be a fan of the Legend of Zelda just to see this amazing picture. Let's just hope Link has a few tricks up his sleeve so we can see him again in a new picture. 5 stars. Truth be told, I actually shrank Link's shield so I could show more of his body in silhouette. That decision seems to have worked out.

Wow! This brought back some childhood memories! The dreaded Water Temple with everyone's fav miniboss, Dark Link. I love the colors and th shadow. Just perfect! The colors on Link though are a little dark and Link's chin is just a tad square. The 'water motions' look fantastic. The sky seems a little dark but it fits really well. And Dark Link's flip? Epic. He looks ready to take Link down. I really enjoyed this piece overall. I know I'm going to say this again, but the darkness fits well now that I'm looking at it. Great job! Keep up the good work!

Link's jaw is hard to read because that hair is in the way. Maybe I could have moved it out of the way a bit more to show as much.

Nice work I rarely give out critiques but I'm going to rate this as it is. It's a great tribute to oot one of my all time fave games. Loses points by default in originality, but really.. hey its link, in his water suit fighting shadow link, who is doing a back-flip to evade a strike. I recall the exact thing happening when I played the game...not original but nor is it intended to be. Technically it's well executed, you probably could have been more extreme with the foreshortening and perspective of the characters but arguably that's the artists call. Other than that awesome, and awesome animations in the rest of your gallery.

I have to say I am very impressed by this piece. I loved this fight in the game and you've just depicted it wonderfully. The water effects are very wonderfully put together and works well with the washed out feel of the colors that you get in that battle. I love how you posed the Dark Link mid-leap. You can really feel the intensity of the battle at the expression on the faces of Dark Link and Link. The only real complaint I would have is that Link's jaw looks a little too square, but that might be an effect from his hair. All in all this is a very wonderful piece.

Ok I love the look of this. From a technical side I have not used this program but your overall finish look is great. Moving on to the piece itself you have created a great sense of movement within the piece. Between Linkβs lunge and his hat and sheath flying back. The back guyβs water spray in the flip again, these kind of details are sometimes lost but you have used them to real capture the look of this piece. You have a taken into account the small details by allowing us to see the shadows and reflections on the water for both of the fighters. Nice Job!

I was just at Video Games Live at Red Rocks (a paid concert) and they used a couple of your art pieces. I am unsure if you are aware of them using them. I 100% recognized this one during their Legend of Zelda segment. Again, this was a paid show so they are making money off you work.
