I understand the BWBA and Hero of the Rails references, but I'm confused about the rest:

-Is the "fat Chinese magistrate" line a Sagwa reference? And if so, what does it have to do with Thomas & Friends?
-Is the "red engine" and "first yellow engine" a reference to a pairing of James and Molly?
-Who are the "American/Canadian locomotive" and the "American boxcab locomotive"?
