Here is the finished work. Re maped the storm cloud and removed the asteroides for good. recreated the main planet and then added more detial. Hope you like it!

I design my planets in around 12 layers... first a water color and then brush in the waves and deep look. then work on the land. this is around 3 layers of texture and painting with layer effects. then the shaddow and glow effects to finish off. so its 50/50 on painting and designing, i use the brush/burn/dodge tool to add detial.
