Hello! Here is the critique you requested. I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to write this, but I hope it can still be of use to you. c:

Firstly, you have done a stunning job with this character! I have manipulated Simulacra myself, and I know how challenging she is, so you deserve a huge amount of credit for making her look realistic.

The most noticeable element to work on in this picture is the lighting. You have a clear light source coming from behind the horse, and from the fire, yet I can't see the effects of this lighting on the horse right now. I can see a few orange edges on the horse's legs. In my opinion, these need to be amplified and more detail should be added to them( perhaps an even lighter orange outline on the legs?)Also, most of the horse facing the viewer should be darkened, and warmed up slightly, to match the gorgeous orange colour of the background.

Of course, the character makes it tricky to get the lighting to be completely accurate, as you have the flames to contend with, too.I can see some areas on the mane and tail where you've started to add some colour, and I think that should also be done along the back a little more. To make the light a little more realistic, you could add some orangey strands to the hair, where the fire hits it, too really show the impact of the flames on the horse.

Your mane and tail are beautiful! I really like the variety in the size and flow of the strands and the depth it created. My only suggestions would be to make the colours a bit warmer, as with the body, to match the background, and to try and smoothen the transition between the black and white parts in the tail. I understand that it is really tricky to do the colours in the way the tail requires; the only suggestion I can think of is to perhaps paint to tail's grey part longer than it needs to be on a separate layer to the rest of the tail, and then erase some of it so it can really blend in with the black part.

Finally, my last two nitpicky suggestions would be to paint the horse's eye- it can really help to engage the viewer with picture, and perhaps put a vignette on the borders, as a way of framing the picture? That is just personal taste however, so feel free to ignore it, haha.
