If I may, this is my version of how it would go:

From the studio that brought you shows about making the most of every day and its own version of Goosebumps, comes a show that is aimed at teenage girls. but everyone 16 and up seems to enjoy, Star vs. the Forces of Evil.  Watch as Daron Nefcy pays tribute to magical girl anime, by mocking the s$!t out of it.  Meet Star Butterfly, a magical princess who is nothing like Sailor Moon. She is sent to Earth to practice her magical arts after her mum gives her version of the 'with great power comes great responsibility' speech.  There, she will turn her teacher into an average YouTube commenter, her schoolyard into a Wes Craven horror movie set, and lead her entire class on a field trip to an interdimensional zoo where they would most likely be eaten alive.   I think Arnold from Magic School Bus may have a point on this one.

But she's not alone. Meet her guide/best friend/crush Marco Diaz, a karate-practicing, nacho-making math wiz with a hint of psychology mixed in, that has enough flaws to keep him from being a Gary Stu.  Watch, as together, these two battle villains like Ludo, the rejected Thanksgiving dinner you threw out last year, with a serious wand obsession, the typical Russian stereotype, a bunch of typical Saturday morning cartoon henchmen, and Toffee, a well-spoken, sharply dressed wannabe Bond villain with the manipulative skills, charisma and the voice of the serial killer Dexter, who is after Star's family simply because he misses flipping people off.  Seriously, all this for a finger?  There has to be more to this guy.

But Star and Marco aren't the only standout characters.  Meet Jackie Lynn Thomas, who most fans hate simply because she stands in the way of Starco becoming canon, Janna, a not-goth stalker who really should have a dozen restraining orders by now, Tom Lucitor, who is essentially the male version of Janna with demonic powers, and StarFan13.  Really, that's her actual name?  Did your parents hate you?!  Watch as these characters become so absorbed into Star's life, they do not ask questions like, why killer sleepover games exist, why there's a floating emoji obsessed with pudding inside Star's giant spellbook and why there is a flying unicorn head following Star around, and where the hell is the rest of its body?!

Then we go to this starring section

After credit section:  You know, the more you badger Nefcy about Starco, the more likely it won't be canon by series end, just saying.

So agree with you: there must be more about Toffee. That's is why I made a analysis about what his goal would be by watching what already happened.

I read somewhere that Nefcy herself describes him as a 'Magneto-type character' who simply seeks equality between Mewmans and monsters, but is going about it the wrong way.  Since Magneto is, imo, one of the most polarising comic book villains to date, it's a shame this wasn't explored in what we got so far.  There is hope for season 3, or the rest of it, I should say.  I was fearful people would be offended I almost called Marco a Gary Stu, and I honestly didn't know what to write about Eclipsa, since we know so little about her.

Au contraire, mon ami, we know more about her than Toffee.

We know she was a queen, and judging from her tapestry title, a pretty dark one, then she ran off with a monster, betraying her husband and kingdom, which she then fled.  Admittedly, more than we got on Toffee, but it's still very little.  Why did she sympathise with monsters enough to take one for her love?  Why was she crystallised?  I'll wait until we know more about her to consider updating, or should I call her a Dolores Umbridge clone?  She evens sounds like her.  But we are getting sidetracked, the real question is, could you hear Jon Bailey's epic voice read my Honest Trailer script as you were reading it?
