I've recently been rewatching it and falling back in love with this precious robot! Ro's Superactivated mode will forever be my favorite

I've been thinking about a Transformers take on Robotboy's fights, where Optimus Prime steals Scavenger and Mixmaster from Devastator, leaving him with only Bonecrusher and Scrapper. Why, you ask? Because most robot shows are like or homage Transformers. Also, seeing Devastator standing on one leg and devastating stuff with only one arm (literally) would be cool. If that's not enough, how about one where Swindle steals parts from Superion so his hand will fall off the moment when the Arialbots combine?

My general opinion on the Superactivation is that, it's close to a negative thing in the Robotboy's character
In his normal, activated mode, Robotboy is sweet, gullible and can't speak right
He learns how to be a real boy and learning leads to mistakes/misunderstandings which in cartoons give a good ground for funny plots
Robotboy also cares for his friends and protects them. The common image of Robotboy is a nice cartoon character
However his Superactivation doesn't have much to offer.
Every time it appears something gets destroyed. And that's not a bad thing considered that only evildoers/not alive foes are defeated in this manner. However! The common situation for Superactivation to appear is to destroy. When we add a certain episode the image of Superactivation changes drastically. Β
During a science show in Tommy's school, Robotboy couldn't destroy the enemy due the hostage situation. Superactivated Robotboy was getting very frustrated when he couldn't pull the trigger.Β Once he finally was allowed to destroy the robot enemy a grin appeared on his, usually motionless face. And that is very unsettling for me. That little smile gave me an impression that Superactivation was designed only to destroy in that mode RB enjoys destruction. My theory is supported by the the event from another episode.
During a trip to the forest, Robotboy was locked in Superactivation and whenever Tommy's bad brother started to threat him, RB aimed a weapon. A lethal weapon aimed on a living being. Further showing how unstable Superactivation is.
I always awaited for it to appear and the design is awesome 
But to not to be a jerk towards Superactivation I admit how cute it looks when held Tommy and closes it's eyes in the episode I can't name

I never really saw his Superactivated mode as a negative thing, but I've always been a huge fan of it, so that may be why
I'm pleased that you watched it and formed this amazing analysis on it ^^
Robotboy was built to be a fighting robot, and where there's fighting, there's always something bound to be doomed to destruction 
In the episode where Ro was frustrated he couldn't shoot the enemy, it was because there was a kid the same age as Tommy controlling the robot, something Ro didn't know till Tommy told him so. Although the kid was a jerk to Tommy and tried to kill him with the bot, Ro obeyed Tommy's orders not to use his strongest attacks in fear of hurting or killing the kid.
So when the kid was finally out of the way, Ro got to destroy the robot that the kid was using as a weapon so that it wouldn't hurt anyone else, so of course he'd be happy about that
He does enjoy kicking butt, because that's what he's programmed to do, and anyone who threatens Tommy and/or his friends will get blasted without hesitation, but like I said, it's in Ro's programming, so he can't help that he likes using his weapons. Tommy does try to teach him what he can and cannot shoot, though, and Ro is learning.
He usually uses his weapons on villains, though, never on innocents or creatures that look dangerous but don't want to harm anyone, so right there tells you that Tommy's teachings have been sticking to Ro's mind and he's able to tell when he shouldn't shoot at someone or something.
Ah, "Mancation" is my favorite episode because of Ro getting stuck in SA mode
Later in the episode, Ro did blast Tommy's father with something when he got a little too close to Tommy while doing that dance, even though Ro most likely witnessed him putting on that wolf skin. But he probably didn't and just saw some big creature coming after Tommy, which is why he acted the way he did since he's super overprotective of Tommy.
I always enjoy the transformation sequences and seeing Ro's SA mode in action, but I respect your opinions on it
That episode would be "The Tune Up" and that moment is one of my most favorites!

I believe my analysis gave you a wrong impression of my opinion about Ro. I'd like to make one thing clear.
I love Ro Superactivation mode. I enjoyed the cartoon and I always eagerly awaited when Ro transforms, cuz that was awesome

You don't have to explain Ro's motivation and development as a character 
What I did was simply share my feelings on few scenes that seemed to me a bit disturbing, but I find them to be like that cuz I analyzed VERY DEEP merely 5 minutes of the show that has hours in episodes
But please remember, I'm for Robotboy (character). He is cute and silly
Also it's worth mentioning, Ro's raw body seen on TV, when Moshimo was giving interview was BADASS! I wonder what SA mode would look like in that form

As a kid I really liked RB
My serious opinion was just a deep, groundless observation of a serious adult
But in a nutshell...RB is cut and sweet - SA RB badass
I simply don't like him
Tommy deserved better friend. Lola is a perfect friend for him, supportive and yet still can tell him he is wrong

Then the villain finds that body, reprogrammed it to fight RO. Filled it's brain with data about RO and Moshimo.
At first the two would fight, but the basic programing left by Moshimo created a new AI that decided to be good and RO got a brother
After that...a new season with 2 RO's
