Description
this is something I made for a Chinese-fairytale based story I came up with, and am still writing at the moment. Yes, the two brothers are the central focus of the story and are the main characters. The one in red is Ming Liu and the other is Ping Lien (they are just too cute! wahoo, brotherly love!) :3ย
I don't want to give too much away, but it IS a quite emotional and depressing story! I apologize if I made you cry because of this! If you are interested in the life of these two brothers, I will post up a link to my wattpad page [a site where you can share your stories and read others' work] as soon as I'm finished with my first chapter! wish me luck!
anyway, if u r having trouble figuring out how to read this, it's simple! Read from one colour first (there's pink and white) the colours represent the brothers, so the pink one is the one in red, the other one is dressed green (tho in black on the second strip) I hope it won't confuse anyone!
update:
here's the link to the first chapter! :3 hope you guys like it and don't forget to comment!

They're brothers but they have different last name?So one of them follow with their mother's last name and the other follow with father's?

If you need any extra info I'd be happy to help. And if you want a story with lots of spirits and gods in it, ่ฅฟๆธธ่ฎฐ has lots of awesome characters in it. :3 (The title means Journey to the West. It's one of the four classics of Chinese Literature. You should have heard of it, if you're part Chinese. :3)
The other Chinese characters is the title to a book which is sort of like... horror stories written in the Qing Dynasty. It's filled with fox spirits and snakes and all that kinda stuff. A real rollercoaster. I'd read the simplified version rather than the original, written-in-old-fashioned-language if I were you... But I gather that you don't understand Chinese...?

It's called Journey to the West. I've not seen many English translations, as the book's best known in China and in Chinese...... It's pretty crazy, if you look at it in a Western fashion, but a very well-known story and perfectly normal in China. You could ask your parents about it, if they have Chinese origins, or lived in China for some time. They will most definitely have heard of it in that case.

Remember it was written at least in the Ming Dynasty. Which was from about 1500s to 1700s. Don't expect it to be a thriller novel. And it loses some of its taste in English. I'm just saying that you can use it as reference for some Chinese mythology. ๅฐ็ฅๆผไนis another good book if you want lots of gods, spirits and demons. But when I say THAT the versions I've read were all children's versions, with pinyin and pictures, which made it all the more thrilling than it probably would have been otherwise. XD (I read most of these when I was relatively young, under the age of 10. XD)
Really? He doesn't know about the ๅๅคงๅ่? That's strange. :/ Did he not live/study in China at all?

I think I might as well have a look at the children's books I mean, why not? they have pictures! XD
and yah he did live in hongkong when he was younger before moving to london, but my dad's from a generation who's uneducated or not even bothered to study so... -.-
