Description
I have wanted to complete this piece ever since I was informed that IDW comics was going to kill the “Cobra Commander” character in their current series. I was also influenced partially by the cover images of various characters holding the “Cobra Commander’s” bloody helmet. I do like to fight fire with fire.It took a current event at a group I discovered called #Battle-Artist which is holding an “art battle” featuring images of me. I was hoping to get a piece of the action by entering my image in the competition. I am not sure how it works, so any help from the #Battle-Artist administrators will be appreciated.
Overall, I am fairly satisfied with this piece. I may go back and add more detail later when I have time.

I'm sure we'll be able to fit you into the competition this week note he organizes the match line up so will be able to organize an opponent if we've got a drop out. He should see this entry and get in touch with you though - don't want you to miss out, especially after doing such a cool piece.
By the screen name you obviously know your material - turned out a nice vengeful commander.....as he should be.
How the hell can they even consider killing him off? if they do that the entire line gets an epic fail award. does that mean we're getting serpentor back then?

The "Cobra Commander" of that particular comic series is an elected official, and not the original Cobra Commander by any means. There are rumors of Serpentor returning, but it remains to be seen. The whole concept of this is frustrating and infuriating to me.

great - Rayn3r will be the one to get your organized...i hope he can get you an opponent on this because it's a fine piece to compete with.
I haven't read the Joe books in so long, but not having the original commander is just pure wrong. Some of the other major cobra characters are fun when they depose him....but you always need a commander scheming up trouble.

oh, as for the competition, it's a weekly competition pitting one artist skills against another in the vs matches if you looked throughthe group. each week everyone takes on a new character and sees how well they can pull an image off of them. this week just happened to be cobra commander.

from my understanding it's free to join, however; I believe the entry date for this particular contest is already done as you're supposed to enter with the vs round at the beginning of the week before the character is announced.
But we do get dropouts and your piece is done already. so I'd ask or if you might take the spot of someone who drops out from the contest. hope that helps you out a bit.

I'm still desturbed by that fact they would even consider killing you out of their series! But I read about it and it's kinda stupid. They killed you off cause they want to play a game to see who will be the next cobra commander. What?!?! It's a stupid reason to play a "game".
