This here is Caerwyn Arrow AKA Cupid, the Guardian of Love.
I can't even begin to express to you guys how much PAIN it caused me to both draw this character AND write up his story!!
I don't necessarily hate how he's come out, but I'm still a bit critical of my own work.
There are like three things in this that I HATE drawing with a passion and here they are: wings, bow and arrows, and figures crouched down.
1) Wings, whether it be on humans or an animal, are a BITCH to draw! I can handle drawing bony demonic wings, but feathered wings - nuh uh!
2) Bow and arrows: The arrows are somewhat alright to draw, but the bow...You have to make the thing look symmetrical on both sides!!!
3) Figures crouched down....If anyone's seen my older drawings, you would know that by looking at them, I NEVER draw feet, let alone the legs; my drawings don't go anywhere below the knee, period. Well, I've now started challenging myself to draw full-body figures and it's been coming out fine lately...but crouching down....urgh! It's taken it to a WHOLE new level of difficulty!! I mean, LOOK at his legs!! JUST LOOK!!

Physical Description: In both his past and present lives, Caerwyn looked fairly the same with the exception of the change in eye color, having markings on his arms, and sprouting wings. His hair’s bleach blonde that reaches his shoulders and has two small braids on either side of his face; long bangs cover his forehead. In his past life, he has light green eyes, but when he became a guardian, his eyes changed into a crimson red. Along with the change, two fairly-deep red arrow-shaped markings appeared on both of his arms that glow whenever he becomes angry. In both his lives, he wore worn-out pants and often shirts and sweaters that were made by his mother. Currently, he’s always seen donning his favorite pair of tattered brown pants along with a red shirt that has brown leather around the hems of it. Around his calves he has golden strips of cloth wrapped around them and he wears a pair of brown and tan boots made of a soft and comfortable material. He always has his golden bow and arrows with him. His wings are feathered and are a light peachy-pink color.
Markings?: He has two fairly-deep red arrow-shaped markings on both of his arms that glow whenever he loses his temper.

Personality: In his past life, Caerwyn was an adventurous boy who was considerate and friendly towards others. He had a large heart and always brought people together, demonstrating how compassionate and lovable he could be. He was also an independent soul; always wanting to do things by himself as opposed to having assistance. He can be quite stubborn at times and almost always is sarcastic, but he’s never rude or hot-tempered.

Good Habits: Tends to keep a close eye on the ones he loves most.
Bad Habits: Whenever he gets angry, he can be really sarcastic towards certain things.

Likes: People who respect/love one another and birds, particularly doves.
Dislikes: He absolutely hates being believed to be a baby boy flying around with a bow and arrow. Aside from that, he hates seeing pictures of that stereotypical version of him everywhere. It really gets on his nerves.
Hobbies: Archery. Ever since he was a little boy, he’s loved archery, for which his father taught him.

Powers/Abilities: Using his arrows, Caerwyn has the ability to make others fall in love by channelling a certain hormonal/attraction energy into the arrows and then proceeding to fire them at his targets. Though when it comes to battling, when he gets enraged, the markings on his wrists glow bright red and enable him to channel a different sort of energy into the arrows, one that’s able to harm his opponents. Considering he has wings, he’s able to fly.
Weapon of Choice: A golden bow and golden arrows.

Dreams/Longs for: Ever since the death of his brother, Valentine, he has been trying to make the world a lovable place, one that doesn’t have war and where everyone is kind and generous towards each other. Unfortunately for him, his dream won’t become real, but he at least tries to make things better in the world.

Background: Long ago, before Caerwyn was even born into this world, it was believed that there were angelic winged gods and goddesses, known as Fayres, which flew high above the clouds and would cast love spells upon mortals in order to bring peace to the world along with erasing negative emotions from their bodies. Fayres were never once seen as horrid creatures and they never set foot on Earth, fearing that it would “dirty their already beautiful and charitable charms and emotions” and cause them to “lose their wings”. Without being seen, one day, a Fayre named Gregoris Arrow, flew down to Earth to help a woman in need, one who was being attacked by a group of scoundrels. Considering Fayres had a touch that seemed to compel anyone into loving them, as soon as Gregoris laid his hand on the woman, she immediately fell in love with him and showed him much gratitude for saving her life. Due to the fact that Gregoris had set foot on Earth, the belief of a Fayre losing their wings became true and he watched in horror as his wings disappeared. Though this unfortunate event happened, Gregoris was still a god and was very much immortal. He didn’t care about living up in the skies with his own kind anymore and he settled down with the woman known as Anastasia. Years went by and they had a son named Caerwyn. As he grew older, Caerwyn became a very energetic and adventurous boy, wanting to grow up to be just like his father. Gregoris never did tell him that he was the first ever hybrid of a Fayre and a human; he was completely oblivious to this. He had no idea that his father (even though he lost his wings) was a legendary Fayre!
As the years passed, Caerwyn learned about Fayres and looked up to them, believing them to be interesting and sensible creatures. Though he still had no idea of his father’s real occupation, Caerwyn vowed to please the Fayres by going around and trying to make people feel love instead of negative emotions such as hatred. At the age of ten, Gregoris began to teach Caerwyn all about archery and on his eleventh birthday, he was given a bow and set of arrows of his own. Unfortunately, a month after his birthday, Gregoris’ father, Laurieon, became enraged and disgusted with how his only son had chosen to live; how he had been living on Earth with a mortal and mated with her to have two hybrid children. Furious, he flew down to Earth and brainwashed Anastasia; taking away all the passionate feelings she had for Gregoris and making her awaken with no clue as to who he was! Completely horrified, Gregoris did something no Fayre had ever done: gone into battle. As he fought his father brutally, Caerwyn grabbed Valentine and fled in hopes to find a safe place to hide, knowing all too well that Laurieon wanted them dead. They managed to find a place, but didn’t make it in time. Valentine ended up getting shot directly in the back by a silver arrow, impaling him through his heart. With his brother dying in his arms, Caerwyn repeatedly tried to help Valentine; ripping the arrow out and trying to stop him from bleeding. Even though both the boys were hybrids and were capable of healing, the arrow that had been shot was one made by Laurieon and was made to kill immortals if necessary. With pain in his heart, Caerwyn watched his brother die in his arms. Enraged by the fact that his family had been taken from him, Caerwyn stood and fought Laurieon. Unfortunately for Laurieon, he underestimated the boy and Caerwyn appeared to be far more powerful than he thought. Avenging his family, Caerwyn took the silver arrow and drove it through Laurieon’s heart, killing him instantly. It’s on that day, February 14th, when Caerwyn began to sprout feathered wings; he finally earned his wings.
Years later, now at the age of eighteen, Caerwyn’s eyes turned red and arrow-shaped markings appeared on his wrists. His bow and arrows turned solid gold as well. Confused, he noticed how the moon’s light was beaming down on him. He looked upward and was told by the Man in the Moon that his name was now Cupid, the Guardian of Love. Considering he was part Fayre and had demonstrated how he tried desperately to help others back then such as his brother, Manny had taken a great interest in him and saw great potential. Caerwyn, having been thought of as a freak and an outcast for years on end, agreed to what MiM had said but only if his brother’s death could be known as a day and symbol of love. MiM agreed to his terms and thus Valentine’s Day was created.
