Shane’s sister found Adelaide’s busted up hull floating in the outskirts of the korthos sector, where she was contracted to work over the last six months, and decided this fancy ship was too cool to hand over to a scrapyard. She secretly flew to her brother’s ranch and hid her there.
Adelaide then became the family “Fixer-upper”, both Shane and Peyton working on restoring the ship to her former glory.
