This was really fun to do! Now on to my explanation!

I love a lot of the gen six pokemon, but one always irked me. That one pokemon being Dedenne. As you might no know, I'm a pretty big Raichu fan, and from the moment I saw Dedenne's design I was incredibly disappointed. I don't have any problems with "pika-clones" in general, in fact most of them I really like! It's really cool how (to me at least) they all manage to be unique and interesting while still keeping with the theme of trying to replicate Pikachu. That is, all except for Dedenne. In my opinion, It's a Raichu rip off, at least color-wise, but the color palette was turned from nice bright pastels, to and ugly, dark, diluted orange. Other than that, it's kind of a mess. The ears don't match the whiskers, the whiskers don't match the tail. I'm just... not a fan. So how would I fix this? Give it more of a theme. I noticed that pokemon like the pikachu family often have pokedex entries that describe how they communicate through waves of electricity, and I thought, "I can work with that." I saw it's ears, and immediately thought of a satellite dish. I figured I should do the same thing with the tail. I also wanted it to embrace it's electric typing more, so I brightened up its colors, and gave it some lightning bolt patterns across its body. The last thing I did was give it a sleeker, less potatoey body, so it looks faster and more adept at fighting. I would change this pokemon's type from elec/fairy to elec/fight or just electric, as it never looked like much of a fairy type in the fist place, and don't think the fairy type fits my redesign either. Anyway, I hope you like it, and remember, this is all MY OPINION! Please don't be offended if you do like Dedenne, I'm just not the biggest fan personally.
