Description
So here's Ädel, the unlikely protagonist of my weirdo RPG idea.Ädel is from a poor farming community of people that are the same unnamed animalistc species he is. Being the oldest son in his family, it is his job to look after Linnea, the youngest. Both of them have an odd little stone implanted into the center of their collar bone, which is said to help he and his sister harness some kind of unearthly power, but neither one of them have expirienced such. His entire family has the same circular markings underneath their cheeks, which may or may not be blue, depending on which color I like best at the time. Ädel dresses in poor, tattered cotton clothing, which has grown faded and thin through years of use. He came into possession this very nice upper-middle class coat by bargaining/stealing it from a travelling tailor who visited his community once. It's the only nice piece of clothing he owns, and he wears it with pride and joy. He is too poor to afford shoes, that's why he doesn't wear them.
Now, Ädel is not like the typical fantasy RPG hero. He's neurotic, whiney, and extremely motherly. His only drive to do anything comes from the fact that he's trying to protect his little sister, Linnea. He's the most nervous, reluctant hero there is.
My favorite thing about him: the gap between his two front teeth.

Ädel is so sweet! i was in an RPG once (looong time ago) i had a character named lenn onar, blue haired scrawny ugly (charisma6!) female fighter... what would that look like in your mind. i'm just curious...

Hahaha
She sounds pretty adorable, actually. You know, in an ugly sort of way. She at least sounds interesting. The problem with RPGs these days is that they're so generic.

personaly my problem with them is less philosophical... the only greeks i know that are involved with them are just the schizoid "=i-prefer-advanced-mathematics to people- and you don't know crap about anything " type of persons. i only played for like a several weeks, and our dungeon master was crazy, he killed us all and then resurrected us and sent us to a place where they worship dogs... at least according to him the narrative was unconventional, but i'm guessing he was telling the truth...

Hahahahhaa
Oh man, that's hilarious. I know exactly the type. The snub-their-noses-at-everyone kids. I just miss good ol' fashioned creativity and modesty.

no... they're awful. they smoke pipes and wear trench coats and employ sarcasm for nothing! so, bottom line is i haven't had much to do with RPGs since 5years...

Of course, I had no idea he was ACTUALLY like that until our 3rd date, so I've got that in my defense.
