It seems that in almost every "Invader ZIM" fan fic, there's some kind of 'rite of passage' that some sort of romance or pairing must take place. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of romance in that environment because it just doesn't work (and don't even get me started on "ZADR"). However, there are two exceptions to this rule. I like the idea of Almighty Tallest slash ("RAPR" as it's known as) but I have yet to find a good story about them but my favorite romantic pairing is Dib and Gretchen as represented in this avatar. I guess I could blame 's adorable artwork for converting me into a Dib/Gretchen fan but really, the idea of them as a couple is sweet and completely innocent.
Poor Gretchen, if only they kept the tradition of passing out candy and cards instead of meat on Valentine's Day...
In case you were wondering, the words are kind of a twist on the lyrics of "If You Could Only See" by Tonic (the song that inspired this avatar).

Well, from what I know, DAGR is an acronym for Dib and Gaz romance which...well...squicks me out, to be frank. Though I have heard that Dib/Gretchen is known as DAGRR.

Yeah, the fan works might be sparse but it's definitely worth seeking out Dib/Gretchen stuff. Yeah, is it just me or do the Tallest have a total Bert and Ernie thing going on?

I don't know about that, I've thought of it as the Stupid Rat Creatures from "Bone"...however, those two probably argue more. Replace lasers and smoke machines with stew/raw and quiche and you get it XD.
