Thanks very much. I really appreciate that and I'm glad you like the piece. Every time I face the blank, empty whiteness I ask the universe to draw through me. I truly believe the quote "I can of mine own self do nothing" can be applied to a great deal of my work - without the religious connotations of course.

I feel the same about facing the blank page. Many times after painting I think, where did that come from? You're right. I can of my own self do nothing. Perhaps this is something that true artists all understand.

I think on some level they might, if they don’t let their egos get in the way. Accomplishments are very deceiving.
