Religion explains the meaning of life, it fufills the soul, the human spirit, and gives us a moral guidance. It's a state of mind, like a gentle breeze that you can feel that lets you see your world through a humanistic view
(and talking about God, I see no reason for people to be patriarchal on the religion for the divine does not have a gender)
Science is the study of physical existence. Think of it like this, if the divine is the painter of the portrait (all of existence) then science is like an observer that sees what kind of paint was used, it's material, how it was used, and rules/functionalities of it
as a religious person, I do not believe in magic. I do believe in miracles but I would describe them as a direct act from the divine in which the miracle's material composition can be analyzed by science. Take for example the Big Bang, out of all the odds of it not working, it just works and creates life. And it wasn't just life alone, He gave them the ability survive and nurture themselves, encoded complex genes that give them ability to adapt.
When I look at the out space with stars and galaxies, I swear to god I get goosebumps as I am left in awe by such a powerful yet abstract entity that is so large it is impossible for the mind to comprehend. May science prevail so that we may understand the beautiful work of the divine, that is my view of existence

While I am happy for you to feel so great because of your belief I cant help but think about the pure brutality of the universe and the pure irrelevancy of earth and everything on it in the big picture. And I ask myself, if a God would love us, would he really put us in such a meatgrinder?

I do understand how you feel with how sapient living beings are so capable of mass atrocities. All I can say is that everything happens for a reason and that God would never burden someone of more than what they can't handle. Thats just what destiny is. Everyone gets what they deserve, and if they don't in the physical word, may they sort that between them and God for the divine understands every little atom of existence. In Taoist philosophy, the universe is described as the pendulum of a clock. It is like two energy forces that create balance: when one energy force begins the overwhelm another, it will revert back to the opposite energy force, swinging back and forth
When I see atrocities around the world such as the New Zealand mass shooting, killing 50 men, women, and children in a mosque attending their Friday prayer, I ask myself how one can be so heartless. But I never lose my faith in humanity because after this event, thousands of people of all faiths and all ethnicities came together as one to condemn this act of terrorist hatred. Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindew, we were all together the victims and witnesses of this loss of human life. In Islam, there is a saying, killing one person is like killing all of mankind.
God tests our faith, not just in Him but also in humanity as well as ourselves my friend

Also I think what some of religious people don't get is that there is no point of religion if they're are not a good human being
one last thing, we may not have solid evidence of God's existence but we equally don't have solid evidence of him not existing in which is the philosophy of an agnostic

I respectfully disagree with you, and here's why: science hasn't disproved God's existence, it has proven God's existence, or the necessity for that for the existence of the physical world- due simply to the requirement for an uncaused cause in regards to physics for existence to occur.
As for gender: it is dictated by the biology within the cells, never chosen by the person... it is simple biology, and not any social construct, but a biological construct that people are assigned- like it or not, we humans are subject to the rules of biology and chemistry, and it is these that dictate our anatomy and biochemistry.
I'd hate to fight you, but I do strongly disagree with the claims apparently made in this statement, and for those very same reasons, yet I strongly believe that we, as men, can discuss our reasons for our viewpoints in an open and candid debate with our emotions subjugated by us men ourselves.
Those are the reasons *why* I believe *what* I believe in these matters, what about yourself, and please, sir, Don't hestitate and please don't hide in the shadows, but be bold in your reasoning and terms and explanations of your views, I beg you.

Look, we don’t understand the reasons to why people are transgender, but we do know it’s a real thing that doesn’t break the rules of human biology/Chemistry/psychology.
The genders we have are a social construct, but for the most part sex is a real thing. Being trans isn’t a mental illness, the dysphoria from not having the right body is the illness, and the only way to treat it is to transition.
The biochemistry of a trans person can be changed with only a few pills, and that changes the physical body and the cells that make it, in some places permanently and with no ill effects. For the parts that can’t be changed with hormone treatment, surgeries can make up for, at least to the closest approximation, which is getting better every year.
The whole chromosome argument falls apart when there’s many people who are born completely male, but have XX chromosomes and vice versa, and you only really know your chromosomes if you’ve had a test for it. In almost all contexts relating to the real world, sex chromosomes do not matter at all and should probably never come up in a debate about gender because it’s a dead end topic.

Try coming up with a new word instead of changing the meaning of one. Changing the meaning of words for political reasons is one of my pet peeves. Or because of it, the religious establishment repeat a lot of traditions that contradict science that also contradict the Bible.
