Description I found The Curse of the Gloamglozer again yesterday, which is from my favourite series of my youth, ah, sigh, wipe tear from eye, and I was looking through all the pictures. I love Chris Riddell's style, so I wanted to see if I could emulate it.

The character here is one in the book, but I did not copy it. Position, expression etc are changed for good practice. Just a quick doodle, but I think I managed to get fairly close to his way of drawing, which is immense fun to do. One day I hope to be able to do faces, bodies and places like he can.

Characters, original design, story (c) Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell.

Thanks muchly I really enjoyed drawing this way... I guess I'm just a sucker for heaps of exaggerated folds and lines and shapes. It makes it so much more fun to do.

any time my friend
I can see how it's a fun way to draw. "squigly" lines that somehow "flow" together, great fun
