Description

Root Man is a botanic analysis robot, designed to interpret fertilizer formulas and record trends of plant health and growth. Originally just a modified Flower Presenter, he fascinated scientists not only with accuracy, but by moving his host plants’ roots through sheer willpower. To maximize on this talent, a larger body was commissioned and built to contain Root Man’s smaller one, fitting his purpose and talent to humanoid arms and a hearty clump of “leg” roots.
As could be expected, Root Man’s physical movement is limited to the ground, but said movement is unexpectedly fast. In terms of offense, Root Man can launch a sharp vine from the top of his head, or dive into the ground to ambush confused foes. He can also execute his “Root Claws”, a set of four large root spikes aimed in different directions (10:00, 11:00, 1:00, 2:00, I only had room to show half). Each attack comes between swift glides through the dirt.
