*He doesn't limit himself to using knives. They're the easiest to find and use though, and he never goes into something looking for a challenge. The quicker and cleaner the job is the better.
*He loves music and before the incident was a really good guitar player and singer. He gets a radio and it's his prized possession.
*He's panromantic asexual though he doesn't realize how blisteringly ace he is
*He will rarely bring up his family and never mentions the fact he killed them. He remembers doing it. But he doesn't feel bad about it, and that's what he doesn't like to dwell on.
*Jeff is really hard to actually get to- like, to make feel bad or guilty. Talking about his appearance will bounce right off him. Telling him he's a monster is singing to the choir. But he knows what you're trying to do, and he will certainly return in kind.
*He named the Slenderman and Smiledog, and also Eyeless Jack. Naming Jack was out of reflex to make himself feel less alone and when Jack adopted the name for himself Jeff felt a little bit ripped off.
*His proxy powers are incredibly mundane compared to the others, which involve time-space manipulation and probability. He's Slenderman's main lackey but man he feels like he deserves something more impressive than just punching really hard.
*He is more afraid of pain than death.
*If he promises to not hurt you and to keep you safe, he means it.
*In mansionverse, he often goes to the mansion just to hide away and think to himself. When he meets Cat there he makes a show of it as though he owns the thing.
*He is always striving for control and while he knows he is powerless to resist killing people, he does try to exert his own rules about it. He doesn't hurt kids and tries to avoid houses that look like they have children inside. His attitude about this comes from his relationship with Liu.
*He is a Pisces/Aries cusp.
*As a result, he is always thinking and borderline dreamy. He comes up with theories about what the fuck is going on around him and tries to figure out the unspoken laws and motives of the monsters. He wants to understand what's happened to him and what it all amounts to.
*...So, the plot of this story is that he decides he and the other proxies need to work together to destroy the Slenderman. Stop all of this. Freedom isn't really his goal. He would like freedom, but sticking it to the Slenderman is more important. If killing Slenderman kills him, he's ready for it, and if he survives then he'll keep doing what he does. What else can he do? The Slenderman broke him into not feeling like a human being. He's either completely existentially miserable and apathetic, or very committed to his role as supernatural killer, depending on how you look at it.
