Looks like a lot of custom work here. I see a firewall mounted master brake cylinder which no Hawk ever had. They were all located below the driver's floorboard.
Can't see the engine but it could be a Stude V8 with a big air cleaner on it.

My Dad had one but I don't remember it as I was one year old at the time. He traded it for a 58" Buick which I don't remember either.
