Coloring and background by me
This is my entry for a coloring contest hosted for his character Ranmaru. (see his journal here for more details on the contest- [link] )
Anyway, I am FINALLY done this! Put about 25+ hours coloring this one lol. Did a TON of experimenting, especially the background which I had to use a lot of photo reference to make. >.< The outfit pattern was inspired from the outfit worn by the Shinsengumi. (see link here- [link] )
I really don't know if this will win the contest, there's a lot of great entries by a lot of what I would consider better artists... But at least I gave it my all, literately lol.
Either way, I feel like I already won just by seeing just how much I can do now artwise.
Tosh, it was a honor to color your lineart, my good sir! I hope you like what I've done here.

I have to admit, I've been doing a lot of experimenting with my coloring, but I really like the direction it's going in now. It finally feels like I'm starting to grow again with my cging.

Yeah, but I do enjoy it! Though I gotta tell you, having worked on this, the collab I'm almost finished for , and the one I'm planning for ... I'm really eager to start coloring my own work soon. I think after I finish Kokido's collab, I'm gonna go back to my commission and another drawing of mine before I color someone else's lines.

Heh, way back when, when I first started coloring my drawings, I used color pencils. I guess my coloring roots do show through sometimes.

Ohhhhh, careful with the "hun" talk, Larissa gets pretty jealous and protective quickly when she hears that from another girl aiming that at me... You should have seen her reaction when someone from WoW send that over our Ventrillo server a few months back even though she says that to everyone... >.<;
