"It's a boy!"

Toph slumped back on the pillows, laughing and crying at the same time. Sokka smoothed her sweat-soaked hair away from her forehead and kissed her cheek. "We have a son," he whispered. She could only nod.

Katara finished cleaning the baby and wrapped him in a fur-lined blue blanket. "I'll leave you three to get acquainted," she said, handing the baby to Toph. She left the house without either Sokka or Toph noticing.

"He's beautiful," Sokka said. He stared with awe at his first-born son. "He's just...beautiful."

"Hello, Atka," Toph said, and kissed her baby's forehead. "I'm your Mommy, and this clumsy guy next to me is your Daddy."

Sokka was about to protest when they both heard shouts and drumming from outside. "I guess Katara has told the rest of the tribe," he said instead. "It's sort of a Southern Water Tribe tradition to welcome new arrivals with as much noise as possible. After all, it's not every day the second-in-command has a son."

Toph smiled. "I think I like that tradition."

Atka, heedless of the commotion being made for him, yawned and went to sleep.

Not much to say here. Just a little pic of Toph and Sokka with their newborn son Atka. Isn't he cute?

Oh and Leona wrote that little fic. Ain't it sweet? Thanks Squeaker! Your awesome so ya are!
