Simple, use Pixel Resize Method instead of Bilinear Resample Method or whatever the default is.

yea, i think pixel resize uses a rectangular window, whilst bilinear transform uses a bartlett, hanning or some other one which smooths the signal out and gives spectral leakage
(guess learning DSP wasnt so useless after all lol)
